Abstract

In this paper we consider the problem of designing reduced-order ℍ2 filters for discrete linear repetitive processes (LRPs). The design criterion is that a reduced-order filter thus designed must guarantee the filtering error process to be stable along the pass and meantime minimize an upper bound for the ℍ2 norm of its transfer function. The convex linearization approach is developed to fulfill the task of designing the desired reduced-order ℍ2 filters. The performance of the designed filter is demonstrated by numerical results.
