Abstract
An numerical investigation into the effects of boundary layer suction on the off-design performance of a compressor cascade with large camber angles is carried out. Three cascades with solidity of 1.0914, 1.3642 and 1.8189 respectively are studied under the incidence from -12° to +12°. The results indicate that favorable benefits from boundary layer suction is closely related with the solidity, incidence, suction slot location and suction flow rate, all of which should be considered in case of using boundary layer suction to improve compressor performance.
