N2 - In this paper, we study the adaptive fuzzy output feedback control problem for a class of nonstrict-feedback nonlinear systems with output constraint. The case of asymmetric and time-varying output constraint together with unmeasurable states is considered. By integrating the barrier Lyapunov function (BLF) approach and the fuzzy approximation technique, we show that the output constrained adaptive fuzzy output feedback control problem for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems can be solved. Finally, the effectiveness of the main result is demonstrated by simulation studies of a one-link manipulator system.
