Abstract

The characteristics of numerical simulation of sheet flexible-die forming process were briefly discussed. Various possible methodologies were overviewed and evaluated. Special emphasis was given to the numerical simulation applications of three kinds of typical sheet flexible-die forming processes, hydroforming, rubber forming and viscous pressure forming. Finally, an attempt to prognosticate some future developments of numerical simulation of sheet flexible-die forming process was made.
