Abstract

The features of droplets formed in contact micro-liquid dispensing have a great influence on the dispensing process that it is important to research the droplets' formation. Based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD) and FLUENT, the paper simulates the droplets' formation, and the results show that the effects of reagent characteristics and system parameters on the formation are considerable. It also points out the necessary conditions for droplets' adhesion and shape forming which is favorable to contact micro-liquid dispensing. The research has a great signification of guiding contact micro-liquid dispensing and improving liquid dispensing technologies.
