Abstract

On the basis of the experimental study, hybrid optimization approach combined Uniform Design of Experiment method, least square approximation with Genetic Algorithms is used to optimize the matching of bowed height and bowed angle in annular compressor cascades with different solidities. The results show that the areas of the optimal bowed angle and bowed height decrease with the increase of camber angles. Correctly selected bowed blade can reduce the energy loss and improve the corner flow. The matching design of bowed blade extends its application to modern advanced compressors, indicating the large potential of the design method of the bowed blade in the highly-loaded compressor cascade.
