Abstract

This paper presents a numerical study on the performances of a compressor stage under different circumferential positions of the rear blades of tandem stator. The matching principle of a stage and the optimum matching position of the front and the rear blades of tandem stator are presented according to the computed results. The aerodynamics of tandem stator is investigated by detailed analyses on total pressure loss and end-wall flow at three typical positions.
