Abstract

A numerical study was conducted of the heat transfer in a circulating fluidized bed boiler furnace. The relevant model being set up takes into account the influence of the concentration distribution of axial and radial particles. The calculation of the model reveals the distribution variation of flue gas concentration and heat flux density within the furnace. The results of the calculation indicate that in the heat transfer calculation of a circulating fluidized bed boiler furnace the convection heat transfer of particle phase should not be neglected.
