Abstract
A novel radar arrangement has been proposed to alleviate the negative impact of false target on ultra wideband through-wall imaging (UWB-TWI), thereby guarantees the unchanged relative orders of receiving impulses and keeps one-to-one correspondence with target points theoretically. The imaging resolution of UWB-TWI is analyzed and derived to establish the correspondences between the imaging resolution and the impulse time resolution as well as the influence of radar arrangements on the imaging resolution. This study provides a theoretical basis for UWB-TWI research.
