Abstract

To improve the stability of V/F controlled induction motor drive system, which is always experienced in light load state, a stabilizing control method is presented. Based on the model of induction motor, a deeply analysis revealed the relationship between the system oscillations and the fluctuation of reactive current. And the strategy was implemented by adjusting the output voltage according to the fluctuation of reactive current which was decoupled through stator voltage oriented synchronous rotation frame transformation. The proposed method was parameter indenpent and robust. Experiments show that the system has a very stable operation over the whole speed range from 0 to 50 Hz with the proposed method and the oscillations have be suppressed effectively.
