Abstract
P-phenylene-2,2'-bis(5-aminobenzoxazole) is synthesized by the condensation of 2,4-diaminophenol dihydrochloride and terephthalic acid with high yield of 98% in polyphosphoric acid through adding reductive agent SnCl2 to suppress the oxidation of 2,4-diaminophenol dihydrochloride. The structure of the compound is characterized by using melting point, FT-IR, 1H NMR and element analysis.
