Abstract

This paper presents a review of some nonlinear problems in spacecraft attitude dynamics. The results on attitude stability of multibody spacecraft, spacecraft with flexible bodies, and spacecraft containing liquid are summarized. The progress in studying bifurcations and chaos of spacecraft attitude motions is surveyed. Some promising directions for further research are proposed.
