Abstract

Aiming at the analysis and calculation of nonlinear dynamic oil film pressure distribution of sliding journal bearings of finite breadth, a quantitative elucidation of the dynamic pressure characteristics of unnotable lubricating oil films is being presented, together with a further study report on the influence of parameters like the rotor's self-rotational velocity, whirling velocity and eccentric velocity on the non-linear oil film pressure distribution.
