Abstract

A nonlinear Continuum Damage Mechanics model was employed to analyze the creep life and damage of a gas turbine disc of a engine under typical flight, then, the results were compared with those from present linear damage cumulating theory. The results prove that Continuum Damage Mechanics model can describe the cumulation and development of damage more accurately.
