Abstract

Tendons of prestressed concrete structure is in high stress state at normal temperature. If high temperature makes the prestressing reduce drastically, catastrophic sequel will occur on prestressed concrete engineering. So the paper attempts to analyze the nonlinear properties of prestressed concrete beams and slabs subjected to fires by ANSYS software. With the conception of safety coefficient of prestressed concrete flexural members presented and its mathematic expression deduced as well as lots of calculation completed, the covers' thicknesses of the concrete for fire resistance are recommended. It can be used as reference for design of prestressed concrete structures for fire resistance.
