Abstract
The nonleptonic decays from B̄os and B o to an orbitally excited P-wave charmed meson are studied within the naive factorization hypothesis. Based on the Mandelstam formalism, and under the framework of the improved Bethe-Salpeter method, the hadronic matrix elements of the decays B̄oaD(*) sJ+X- and BoD(*) J+X- (X = π, ρ, K, K*, D, D*, Ds, D*s) are calculated, in which nonperturbative QCD effects are well considered by overlapping integral over the relativistic Salpeter wave functions of initial and final states. Some of these decays have sizable branching fractions and are expected to be detected in the current and near future experiments.
