Abstract

Based on existing experiment achievements, the authors systematically studied the seismic behavior of concrete-filled steel tubular frames under actual earthquake wave by 3D non-linear finite element model. The specimen was a two-story frames consisting of concrete-filled steel tubular columns and steel beams. The theoretical analyses demonstrated that the CFST frames had good response to earthquake loading even in case of high earthquake intensity. The work in this paper laid a good basement for future profound research on the seismic of CFTS structures and must do help to its practice use.
