Abstract

The traditional motor testing method has some disadvantages such as complex, costliness, hard work and long elapsed time is needed, the precision of the testing result is depended on the skill of manipulator, and so on. All of the disadvantages make it is necessary to study of the no-coupling motor testing technology. The no-coupling motor testing method is based on the digital signal processing and system identification technologies. Using this type of testing system, the parameters and characteristics can be obtained automatically without load coupled with the motor under test. This paper gave out the no-coupling test method for the single-phase AC series-excited motor in detail. Firstly, the theory and mathematical model of motor was analyzed. Then, the problems of no-coupling testing technology were solved based on the digital signal processing, numerical analysis, optimization and system identification technologies. The experiments show that the high precision results can be obtained while the elapsed time is short.
