Abstract

In this paper, some new forming technologies such as the forming of curved shell using reconfigurable discrete die, the precision bending of large flange with a complicated shape of the cross section, the integrated hydro-bulge forming (IHBF) method for manufacturing LPG spherical tank and the method of machining seal surface of large flange using a multifunction machine tool is introduced. The practical applications of the above-mentioned method in manufacturing different vessels are also given.
