Abstract
To preserve the advantages and to decrease the algorithm requirement on the array simultaneously effective to the coherent sources, a new beam-space algorithm based on Toeplitz matrix is proposed in the paper. The output of beam field and array elements can be comprehensively treated to get the Toeplitz matrix by the new algorithm. The Toeplitz matrix is modified to get the covariance matrix. The DOA is estimated by MUSIC algorithm. The algorithm derivation and the simulation results show: the algorithm has the enhancement and inhibition characteristics on space signals; it can make the coherence sources equivalent to independent ones; the algorithm requirement on array is decreased and only the part of the elements are demanded to composite uniform linear array; the influence of noise on DOA estimation is inhibited effectively.
