Abstract
A new composite system is proposed to obtain an aluminum matrix composite with a lower coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and higher strength. It is proved that the idea to produce a composite with multiple functions by combining two or more functional reinforcements is feasible. The idea would be helpful to guide the designing of new composites with multiple functions.
