Abstract
Power Line Communication (PLC) over low-voltage distribution has the problem that the communication reliability is low. In order to solve this problem, a novel artificially cobweb communications network model based on artificial cobweb is established and corresponding mathematical model are is presentedestablished. The Media Access Control layer (MAC) of three-phase distribution network is turned into a logical topology which is composed of multiple artificially cobwebs. The networking process of the new model is thoroughly discussed, the algorithm of selecting the center node is proposed, and a new automatic routing protocol is established. A two-state transition Markov model is used to simulate a terminal node and the situation of communication failure because of channel changes in practice. Comparison experiments of modeling simulation are conducted in view of data conflict rate, communication flow, and link utilities, and the result has proven the new network model and routing protocol have advantage in improving communication reliability of PLC networks.
