Abstract

The optical properties and fabrication of an organic light-emitting microcavity were reported. The sol-gel technique was used for the fabrication of the cavity, which is a laser dye-doped polycarbonate film sandwiched between two Bragg reflectors. It was found that by using the Bragg reflectors, reflectivity up to 98% was achieved.
