Abstract

Nanosized ceria (CeO 2) was introduced to the porous GdBaCo 2O 5+δ (GBCO) backbone by an infiltration technique. The XRD profile confirmed good chemical compatibility between GBCO and ceria nanoparticles. Impedance spectra confirmed that the incorporation of ceria enhanced the cathode performance, with a polarization resistance of 0.19 Ω.cm 2, showing promising potential for applications in IT-SOFCs.
