Multilayer and distributive constitution of organizational memory

In today's knowledge-based economy, knowledge is important asset in organizations. Effective knowledge management plays a crucial role in organizational development. Organizational memory (OM) integrates all kinds of organizational knowledge. It is regarded as the central prerequisite for IT support of knowledge management. As different type of knowledge, organizational memory is in every part of the organization. The distribution of organizational memory shows the multiplayer and distributive characteristics. Based on the process of organizational memory, the characteristics of organizational memory in multiplayer and distributive constitution are discussed.
