Abstract

A Combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system is an energy-efficient technology as well as reducing pollutant emission. In order to determine the best operational parameters and boost the performance for CCHP system, the genetic algorithm was applied. In this work, a numerical example of the micro-turbine CCHP system was performed to determine the optimal optimization variables in cooling condition. The primary energy saving rate (PESR) and exergy efficiency were considered as the main evaluation criteria. The results showed that the higher of variables such as environment temperature, cold to electric ratio, isentropic efficiency of compressor and turbine, thus the better of the optimization, however the variables' values were limited by the performance of each devices in CCHP system.
