Abstract

The detent force of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) can increase the thrust ripple. To reduce the thrust ripple, this paper improves the structure of PMLSM with auxiliary side tooth, and optimizes the parameters of the tooth by using support vector machine (SVM) and particle swarm algorithm (PSO). In order to further reduce the torque ripple, the structure of skewed poles is adopted. The output thrust of PMLSM optimized is improved, and the thrust ripple is greatly reduced. The simulation results verify the thrust performance of optimized PMLSM is improved.
