Abstract
Filling process of thin-walled casting in the traveling magnetic field was analyzed with the help of low melting point metal gallium physical simulation. The results reveal that filling ability, filling flow and filling length are increased, while the filling time is decreased with the increase of the magnetic induction intensity. The stainless steel bottom- mold was superior to ceramic bottom-mold, and the optimized process parameters were presented.
