Abstract
La0.7 Sr0.3 MnO3 (LSMO) particles and nanorods were synthesized by a combined sol-gel and molten salts method, which employed KCl+NaCl as eutectic molten salts. The morphology and Curie Temperature of the resulting LSMO particles and nanorods were investigated by XRD, SEM and VSM measurements. It was found that the obtained perovskite manganite LSMO is particles with a diameter of about 200 nm, and uniform nanorod with a diameter of about 50 nm and a length longer than 500 nm. LSMO particles and nanorods respectively belong to orthorhombic and tetrahedron. The Curie temperature Tc of our LSMO nanorod is 235 K, much lower than that of LSMO particles (374 K).
