Abstract

Monochromatic image method was used for plasma component diagnosis in this paper. The spectral distribution of argon-helium mixture arc was acquired by using an advanced spectral analysis system. The HeI 667.8 nm line was decided to obtain monochromatic image of helium based on the spectral distribution. A narrow band pass filter was used in front of CCD. The monochromatic image of helium was presented and processed by Abel inversion. Thus, the spatial distribution of the plasma emission coefficient was reconstructed. A conclusion can be drawn that helium is centralized in the argon-helium mixture arc.
