Abstract
PBO fiber surface was graft-modified using γ-ray irradiation technology. The modified result was analyzed and studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and H nuclear magnetism resonance (H NMR) test. The results indicated that the grafting reaction between PBO fiber surface and the irradiation medium-epichlorohydrin was produced by the irradiation, and some polar groups such as C-Cl, COOH, C-NH2 were introduced on the PBO fiber surface. Hence, the fiber surface chemical activity was increased.
