Abstract
The molecular mechanism has been employed to model the structure-property relationships of auxetic material with tetrahedral framework at the atomistic level. The germania α-quartz subject uniaxial stress loading in z direction will be investigated. The strain-dependent structure and mechiancal properties will be predicted from the force field based simulations, including the transformation from positive-to-negative Poisson's ratio behaviour and vice versa.
