Abstract
This study highlights the significance of airflow pattern within a typical apartment building and its impact on VOC distribution. A VOC emission model was developed and integrated with multi-zone airflow model COMIS. Then this new model was applied on a residential building in Harbin, a typical city in the severe cold region of China. The results show seasonal characteristics of VOC concentration distribution among the apartment building. In addition, mutual pollutant transfer between dwellings may occur due to the airflow pattern.
