Abstract

To measure the attitude of an aircraft in close-range, an x-shape cooperation target that consists of four lasers is installed on the aircraft, which projects the lasers to the two parallel screens. The change of the aircraft position is magnified and the measuring accuracy of the system is improved. Aiming at the implicit and nonlinear characteristics of the measurement model and the difficulty in correlation coefficient estimation, an uncertainty estimation method based on Monte-Carlo stimulation is proposed. The uncertainty of input coordinates and the probability distribution of the errors are obtained through static experiments. Each component obtained from computer simulation sampling is put into the measurement model. The estimated value of 3D attitude and the total uncertainty of the system are obtained. The difficulties in estimating uncertainty are avoided effectively. The estimation results lay the foundation for the evaluation of the practical measurement accuracy.
