Modeling of stand-alone PV power controller and high dynamic performance research

Abstract

S4R (sequential switch series shunt regulator) is used as a space power conditioning unit (PCU). With impedance mismatching control of the local switch the control model is established. It is proposed that using time delay driver to solve the EMI of shunt switch, and the proposed driver is made up with gate circuits without current sensing and current limitation inductor, but time delay unit decreases the phase margin. To increase the phase margin at 0 dB, it is proposed that adding phase-lead network in feedback unit. This control strategy has better dynamic performance and less heat on shunt switch than the Bang-Bang control is proved by simulation and experiment.
