Abstract
Abstract: The paper presents the results of numerical simulations on the study of evaporation of carbon particles from a graphite cathode and copper particles from a composite Cu/C anode in an arc discharge. It is shown that at a current density, a sufficiently high value of the concentration of copper atoms and ions and a significant number of carbon atoms and ions is formed. These conditions are optimal for the synthesis of functional nanostructures such as a metal core and a carbon shell.
