Abstract
According to four different neutral connections and their current restrictions of dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with one open phase, four transformation matrixes are determined based on vector space decomposition modeling method and four mathematic models are set up. Every model is projected into d-q subspace which contributes to electromechanical energy conversion and z1-z2-z3 subspace which has no relation to energy conversion. The four models have the same structure and different parameter matrixes in d-q subspace. The vector control for minimum stator loss could be realized by setting the current references in z1-z2-z3 subspace to zero. The simulation and experimental results show that the motor can work well with one open phase in different neutral connections with their control methods. So the fault tolerant ability of the system is improved.
