abstract = "A new type of isolated active magnetic bearing (IAMB) with isolation sleeve is studied. The stator and rotor are completely isolated and can work in different environment respectively. The application range of traditional active magnetic bearing (AMB) is expanded effectively. According to the structural particularity of IAMB magnetic circuit, the equivalent magnetic circuit considering the reluctance of the isolation sleeve is established and the magnetic circuit matrix is given. According to the magnetic leakage effect of the isolation sleeve, a method to determine the current operating point of the IAMB was proposed based on the magnetic density variation characteristics of the isolation sleeve and rotor. The eddy current of the isolation sleeve aggravates the hysteresis of the system. In order to balance the lead performance of the control system and restrain the noise of the system, the incomplete differential PID controller is designed to control the rotor position. Finally, the experiment platform was built and the suspension experiment and anti-interference experiment were designed to verify the feasibility of the IAMB system and the correctness of the analysis.",
