Abstract

The proposed method for controlling a multiphase DC-DC converter at large load fluctuations with PID controllers is analysed. Several drawbacks are highlighted. Model Predictive Control technique is described for controlling single-phase DC-DC converter. Method for solving optimization problem in Model Predictive Control is presented. Numerical experiments were carried out to show that proposed method is applicable for controlling DC-DC buck converter under load current fluctuations.
