Abstract

We demonstrate the experimental realization of optically pumped lasing in a rolled-up nanomembrane-based microtubular cavity coated with dye molecules. By tailoring axial confinement through precise nanomembrane patterning, we observe higher-order axial modes with mode numbers up to twelve. Mode-selective lasing is discerned with distinct threshold powers.
