Abstract
Modbus is a kind of exoteric and standard field bus protocol, which is applied widely in the world field of automation and control. This paper introduced the Modbus protocol and design experiment system based on C8051F Series singlechip. The system function and the composing of hardware were described A software configuration was summarized. In addition, some examples to design an experiment program were given.
