abstract = "Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks (UASN) have been widely used in resource development and environment exploration. The underwater acoustic environment is complex and changeable. The failure of a node in the network decreases the quality of communication. Therefore, this work studies the energy balanced routing protocol algorithm for underwater acoustic sensor networks. Low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) is a centralized protocol which can balance the energy of the network. To further save energy of nodes, we introduce the mobile sink node into underwater acoustic sensor network and propose Mobile Sink LEACH (MS-LEACH) and Mobile Sink LEACH based on Energy and Density (MS-LEACH-ED) protocol. These protocols are more energy-efficient than LEACH protocol. The link failure caused by early death of some nodes are reduced, and the network blind spots are effectively decreased.",
