Abstract

The existing commercial database and lightweight database are difficult to meet the needs of database practice teaching. Therefore, we propose a novel lightweight database, which we call MiniDB. MiniDB is design with the idea of building block. Therefore, MiniDB has good scalability and dynamic customization. MiniDB can select the corresponding modules according to the instantiated parameters input by the user to meet different teaching needs. We had partially implemented MiniDB. Our test shows that MiniDB introduce some extra performance loss compared with native code. In our opinion, it is necessary to develop the reconstruction and scalability.
