Abstract

The effects of thermomechanical treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of TA15 titanium alloy were studied. Thermomechanical treatment in α+β zone makes the strip primary a phase broken. After heat treatment of 930°C/1h/AC+915°C/1h/AC+530°C76h/AC for the water cooled samples, the tensile strength is apparently increased and the strip primary a phase is spheroidized. Thermomechanical treatment in β zone causes the tensile strength decreased slightly and the a lamellas in Widmanstaten become thicker.
