Abstract

This paper proposes a polarization phased array radar system on missiles to improve the electronic warfare performances of the guidance radars. The radar is a coherent and dual polarization system, in which the digital beam forming (DBF) is used to suppress the space interferences and the target signal is recognized through dual polarization pulse compression technology and instantaneous polarization detection technology. The system scheme of the polarization phased array radar is discussed, and the realization method of polarization DBF is introduced. A combination signal processing method in time, space and polarization domains is proposed, and the anti-jamming ability is analyzed through the simulation experiment. The proposed method has the advantages of both DBF and polarization signal processing, so it can improve the integration interference suppression ability of the guidance radars on missiles, moreover, it is feasible in practical engineering.
