Abstract

In order to study deeply factors of cutting surface effection in vibratory cutting, the experiment system of the vibration cutting with low frequency is tried and established. This system consists of a vibrating source-micro-drive tool holder powered by piezoelectric ceramic under the control of computer, and a feedback signal reading device for parameters of the real movement of the tool tip in order to correct the assumed theoretical parameters. In progress of low frequency vibration cutting and common cutting experiment under the same cutter geometry parameters condition, inferring the influence of the different vibration frequency, different cutting velcocit to cutting process and result, and comparing with common cutting experiment in the same cutting amount condition. When cutting velocity v meets v<vc = 2πAf, it can reach nicer effect.
