Abstract

Quartz material is used in quartz accelerometer sensitive devices, but quartz crystal growth process leads to the different properties in each directions. This article chooses the ZD-1 homebred man-made optics quartz crystal on mechanical properties and dimensional stability of research. The microstructure observation shows that quartz crystal and there are a high degree of orderly amorphous, and there are not other defects. In three axis, perpendicular to the Z axis (optical axis) bending strength is to 194 MPa; The Z axis direction has the most stable performance, the thermal expansion is between 5.0×10 -6/°C and 7.5×10 -6/°C.
