Abstract

The rotor system of high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) needs to be carefully designed to ensure operational stability. In this paper, on the basis of the proposed 15kW, 120000 rpm High-Speed PMSM, the stress field of permanent magnet (PM) and sleeve are calculated and analyzed by using analytical method and finite element method (FEM), and relations between sleeve parameters and rotor stress are explored. Based on the sleeve scheme obtained, this study calculates the critical speed of rotor, and influence factors such as bearing stiffness and rotor structure are investigated.
