Abstract

The carrying capacity, stress due to temperature difference, and fire resistance of micro-perforated sandwich panel are analyzed in this paper using the software ABAQUS. Results indicate that, there is no dramatic decline on ultimate load or limiting load (f=L/200) after punching holes in steel plate. And the failure of panel is because of the core materials near the support lacking shearing capacity, which finally induce the bucking of steel plate. The analysis of stress due to temperature difference shows that, corrugated buckling appears along the longitude of the panel, and the corners of steel plate reach the yielding stress. Fire resistance of micro-perforated sandwich panel is also calculated by transit heat transfer analysis, and fire-resisting period of different micro-perforated sandwich panels are list in this paper.
