title = "Mechanical analogy of propellant sloshing using finite element structural codes",
abstract = "Based on theory of equivalent mechanics, a model which consists of masses and springs is built to represent dynamical effect of propellant sloshing. In the deducing process, the problem is solved by constructing an elastic structure and running modal analysis in finite element structural codes. The process ensures the approach is more applicable than analytical methods and takes less computation duration than numerical methods of hydromechanics. In validation cases, the calculated results are found to be in good agreement with the published experimental data, and demonstrate the validity of the approach.",
